Title:                              Project Manager
Reports To:                    VP Sales and Marketing

Kirk Marketing is growing and we’re seeking an experienced Project Manager with a specialty in Direct Marketing to manage a variety of direct response projects from strategy through to execution.

Working out of our Richmond, BC office you will support Account Directors with the technical planning and execution of direct mail and print projects. Your expertise in print and direct marketing will be critical to driving your outstanding service – both to external and internal clients. You will be responsible for the day-to-day client and project management of direct marketing campaigns, including managing internal production and external vendors, documentation, quality control systems, and making recommendations to improve response and realize efficiencies.

As the ideal candidate, you will be excited to apply your energy, self-determination, and eye for detail to direct marketing projects that drive measureable results.

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum three years experience in customer service, inside sales or sales
  • Minimum two year marketing or communications certificate
  • Client on-boarding, including creating internal systems & processes
  • Basic understanding of marketing principles
  • Basic understanding of advertising principles
  • Business acumen
  • Knowledge of postal administrations
  • Knowledge of Kirk’s services and equipment specifications

Job Title:                       Materials Handling Clerk
Reports To:                    Production Manager

Kirk Marketing (www.kirkmarketing.com) is a progressive direct marketing services provider based in Richmond, BC. We are looking for a talented, passionate individual to join our production team.

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Materials Handling Clerk provides clerical, administrative general support to internal and external clients.

Major Responsibilities…

  • Accurately enter receipt of materials, including from printing department, in the docket system per scheduled timeline
  • Receiving materials as they come in
  • Prepare shipments for delivery or pickup (including pickup by clients)
  • Schedule couriers for shipments
  • Processing completed dockets within daily deadline

As the ideal candidate you will…

  • Have forklift certification
  • Have (3) years experience in office administration
  • Be Knowledgable in postal administrations and postal regulations
  • Have (3) years experience working with courier companies
  • Be knowledgeable in inventory management
  • Be an excellent communicator
  • Have experience using courier software (required)
  • Be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Feel at home in a fast paced production environment

Job Title:                       Materials Handling Supervisor

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Materials Handling Supervisor supervises the materials handling team and ensures the most efficient use of people and skills are employed in the processing of jobs to meet production deadlines.

Major Responsibilities…

  • Provide leadership, work direction, coaching, training and support to the materials handling team, resolving conflict and employee issues as they arise
  • Ensure total customer service and satisfaction for both internal and external clients
  • Monitor and maintain staffing levels to ensure that labour costs in materials handling are minimized, working towards keeping them below industry standards where possible.
  • Ensure sufficient skills on hand, ongoing personnel developmental and cross training, policies and procedures understood and followed
  • Ensure accurate and timely pre-picking of materials and supplies for machine operators and removal of completed jobs
  • Ensure all safety requirements and regulations are adhered to and recommendations are made to management when appropriate, maintain up to date knowledge with safety requirements and regulations
  • Investigate material losses and make recommendations to Production Manager on loss prevention, apply and monitor determined courses of action
  • Investigate and make recommendations for new procedures and methods to complete jobs efficiently and accurately

As the ideal candidate you will…

  • Have (3) years experience in a supervisory role in a high volume materials handling environment
  • Have (3) years experience operating a forklift and order picking
  • Have forklift certification (required)
  • (3) years experience working with courier companies
  • Knowledge of inventory management
  • Up to date knowledge with safety requirements and regulations

Working out of our Richmond, BC office you will support Account Directors and Project Managers with the technical planning and execution of direct mail and print projects. Your expertise in print and direct mail will be critical to driving your outstanding service – both to external and internal clients.

Major Responsibilities…

  • Manage client workflow (input orders, job scheduling, documentation)
  • Provide dedicated support to Project Managers
  • Coordinate all necessary resources to meet client timelines and requirements
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company services
  • Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients
  • Solve problems and provide constructive solutions timely manner
  • Play an active role in our customer’s success.

As the ideal candidate you will…

  • Have a minimum of 3 years experience in customer service, inside sales, or sales – preferably within the printing or direct marketing industry.
  • Key internal interactions: strategic account manager, production manager, data department, print manager
  • Have a 2-year marketing or communications certificate
  • Have experience with printing or direct mail
  • Possess a sound understanding of marketing & advertising principles
  • Possess postal administration knowledge
