Kirk Marketing Reduces Carbon Footprint in 2009 and Announces Energy Savings Planned for 2010

Richmond, BC – Feburary 2, 2010 – Data provided by recycling supplier Urban Impact shows Kirk Integrated Marketing Services diverted 2,107 yards of waste from local landfills in 2009. This is equivalent to 1,053 full sized pick-up trucks and means that Kirk’s recycling efforts sequestered approximately 316 tonnes of carbon emissions last year.

Kirk is committed to reducing waste and currently recycles all of its waste paper. In addition, a refit of Kirk’s lighting system scheduled for 2010 will reduce Kirk’s energy consumption and will qualify the company as a BC Hydro PowerSmart Partner.
