National Philanthropy Day Certificate Winner Announced

Richmond, BC – November 23, 2009 – Every year, the Association of Fundraising Professionals – Vancouver Chapter hosts a luncheon in conjunction with National Philanthropy Day, which was officially recognized by the Hon. James Moore, Minister of Canadian Heritage, who declared “. . . that the 15th day of November in each and every year shall be recognized throughout Canada as National Philanthropy Day.”

And every year, Kirk Marketing is a sponsor of the luncheon, and this year, we were very proud to be the Speaker Sponsor. Kirk President & CEO Gordon Taschuk introduced Kelly Smith to an enthusiastic crowd of over 500 people. “Kelly is an amazing man with a story that is so inspiring. His belief that a person’s attitude, not their circumstances, is what leads to their success is a very moving message for us all.”
